There are a number of shopping carts/commerce capabilities for XOOPS. This overviews what I've put together for my client sites.

• Olédrion - 1.65 - Native XOOPS commerce module; looks promising
• xOSCommerce - extensible and solid XOOPS integration
  
• ZenCart Integration for XOOPS - didn't work for me, no integrated permissions
• Kshop - v2.00
  
• Cafepress Shop - v1.03 (for CafePress stuff)
  
• Subscription Module - v0.89 (adds/removes users from groups based upon payment of subscription)
  
• xAsset - v0.88 (selling of pictures and other digital assets)
  
• XooperStore - no longer supported
• myXoopsShop osCommerce - no longer supported

xosCommerce

Current v0.62 (includes 20051112) - FlinkUX

This is the XOOPS port/integration of osCommerce. This is no longer the latest version of osCommerce. osCommerce has the largest community support of the commerce engines out there and largest number of payment gateways. There are all sorts of extensions and this integration supposedly allows you to use them (although mileage may vary).

I installed my port of SmartProfiles to profile/PHP4 and then made one change to xosCommerce to make it work on 2.0.x series. BTW, except for the registration piece, this module worked fine on 2.0.x without this installation. This is the change:

• Edited osC/create_account.php to change $profile_handler to use getmodulehandler('profile','smartprofile');
  

Zen Cart

Current: v0.3 (Zen Cart v1.3)
This is the XOOPS port/integration of Zen Cart. It has several gateways, but doesn't seem to have Paypal. I couldn't get it to work when I tried it out.

Subscription Module

The Subscription Module allows you to sell subscriptions to various pieces of content, downloads, etc. As long as it requires a group membership, then the Subscription Module will deal with it. They have a paypal payment gateway, but it costs a one-time small lifetime fee. I've already purchased it.

xAsset

Current v0.88

xAsset is a pay-based digital media download module for one-time downloads as well as subscription management. As of v0.88, xAsset no longer provides their gateways free. You pay a $20/year fee (using their module) and then you have access to all of the payment gateway modules.
