  • Adobe Premier (if you can afford it, although overkill)
  • Quick Video Snippers/Combiners
    • SolveigMM Video
    • Briz Video Splitter
    • Briz Video Joiner
  • Convertors
    • Media Coder - the swiss-army knife of conversions
    • S.U.P.E.R. - the dumbed-down version of Media Coder (effectively)
    • Riva FLV Encoder - best Flash video convertor I've found
  • Viewing
    • Zoom Player
• Photos and Graphic Images
  • Paint Shop Pro (now Corel)
  • IrfanView - simple viewing, thumbnails, conversions, lossless jpeg rotations, etc.
• Audio
  • Editing
    • Audacity
    • Adobe Audition (if you can afford it)
  • Listening / Managing / Converting
    • MediaMonkey (pay for the Gold version and better manage your iPod or other MP3 device)
    • Core Media Player (open-source version of WinAmp)

A few that I should look at are:

  • Jahshaka - tried it once, but had problems. Went back to my trusty one
